OT - Anybody Here a Fan of Mission Impossible?

Specifically, the three Landau/Bain Years. (Every print of the Tom
Cruise movies should be converted into so many celluloid guitar
picks.)

I was too young to catch them when they were "live", but I've been
making up for it with the DVD releases. The plot constructions are
just so smart(usually), and the cast is great. So likable, with a real
commerado among them. (BTW, I much prefer Steven Hill to Peter
Graves.)

I agree about the Tom Cruise movies-pretty awful.

The TV series is among my favorites and I\'m glad they are becoming
available uncut on DVD. The twisty, clever plots are fun to follow and the
episodes are usually well-constructed. My only previous viewing of the
episodes was on FX. When I watch them now on DVD, I keep expecting Jane
Fergus or Jeff Probst to interrupt with a promo for other FX shows.

I know I\'m in the minority, I\'d say Season 5 is my favorite, though that
may be my Lesley Ann Warren addiction talking. If you get to see Season 5
on DVD, please do post here what you think of them.

I watched them when they were in second-run syndication a number of
years ago. The earlier seasons were better, and yeah, I did like Steven
Hill. That first season included the most ritual with Hill choosing the
team, so that was fun. Oddly enough, Landau was selected almost every
week, not that he was yet in the main cast.

Yo, guys. Happy Holidays.

LOL. And lets not forget the wonderful animation which would run at
the bottom for most the show. Just what Bruce Geller would want.

I guess for political reasons, "24" makes me want to get out my
Kalishnikov and blow the television set away. IM makes me want to join
the CIA. :-) That crew is SO stylish and smart and likable and
honorable blah blah you get a sense that at one point it must have so
cool to be an American. :-)

Yes, and I'm glad RTV is running it again, although I prefer Peter Graves.

I'm a big fan of action/adventure spy movies, it would be great if
someone would make a Mission Impossible movie.
