Here was the CNN headline.
Soul singer Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar, has died at his
home in Tennessee, police say.

Sad news for sure. He was a great talent in many ways. Thoughts and
prayers go out to the entire Hayes family. I think I'll toss on my
favourite episode tonight as a way of honoring him.

The internet Obit on yahoo I read did not mention his Rockford work-I guess
it was not that important to note...

Good idea, Brian. I think I'll toss on "The Hammer of C Block" tonight in
his honor. A fine episode with a very moving ending. Hayes was not a great
actor with alot of range, but he did portray the "Gandolph Fitch" character
very well, I thought. Rough edges and all. I also enjoyed Hayes in "Escape
from New York", a great cult classic film made in the 1980s which I think
holds up very well to this day. He played "The King" in this film.

R.I.P. Gandy.
He was my favorite, and maybe the best, recurring character TRF ever had.

Well, I knew I'd find a lot of bootlicking over this one here, but
maybe you should save your misguided loyalties for all the single
future-welfare mothers the amoral prick left behind. Interesting that
the nubian nightmare never mentioned them in his South Park protests,
isn't it?

Christ, it sounds like you're the bastard child of one of those welfare
mothers you mentioned. Lighten up, troll.

RNeill wanted to post this the day Isaac passed away. However, the
TaT site is yet again, having problems. So, on his behalf, here is an
appropriate Rockford Haiku. He pretty much summed it up.
