Looking at the fan fiction on the web can't help notice how many
"wanna be" writers are out there.
Can't say I have the talent but I sure day dream about fictional
characters inspired by the Rockford and Magnum characters.
I have this idea of a follow on to Rockford files. An old fart living
in a trailer park, one of the few left out in Malibu, let's say
"Canooga Park" trailer and mobile home paradise, where the high priced
housing has taken over. He is sitting back remembering his good ol'
days of gumshoe work. His name, Freddy Beaver, mechanic by training,
retired and living on disability, but a private dick by vocation. He
never made a dime with his vocation, but neither did his "buddy"
Rockford. You can add to the cast of characters, "Thomas L. White"
the too good to be true "private investigator" who is now part timing
at the Getty Center as night guard.
I just need to figure out the rest of the plot but it will have some
twists and turns and juicy "seedy part" of L.A. thrown in with a twist
of Korea Town where Freddy goes for his usual "prostate massage"
session.
There may be bad guys thrown in for measure, like some white collar
crime fellows to try to scam investors with a new Internet proposition ...
