DVD available in UK??

hello,

I've recently been watching the Rockford Files on ITV3 here in the UK,
and was wondering if anyone knows whether any of the series have been
released on DVD in Britain? I know they're available in the US, but
apparantly I can't use US DVD's (or indeed any 'foreign' region dvd;s)
so I need the UK version, if such a thing exists.

While i'm here - what do people think of the TV movies that were shown
in the 1990's? Are they worth trying to hunt down thu bittorrent etc?
I think it would be extremely cool to see how jim, angel and dennis et
al are getting on these days...

Really loving this show, 30 years old yet one of the best things on TV
- any advice on the above would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
john, fife, scotland

Hi,
Amazon.com.uk has seasons 1-4 (individually and in a box set) and states
that season 5 will be released 12 May 2008.

Fritz - thanks for that, guess I should have checked amazon but it
never crossed my mind....guess I wouldn't make such a stunning
P.I. ;) I now have the Rockford Files boxed set making its way to
me....I suspect I have a fine weekend ahead of me.

AlbertClarkson, thanks for the info, I hadn't even considered browsing
past posts - I have already taken your advice and the archives here
make some very interesting reading! whilst looking for Rockford DVD's
on amazon I also found the book you refer to; I've also ordered a copy
of this and am looking forward to the book and DVD's arriving in one
big shipment

Thanks very much for replying people :) And I do enjoy the Rockford
Files greatly, it's classic TV - hard to believe I wasn't even born
when the series had finished its first run!

Thanks again, John

Well, I do hope you get to enjoy them. I was hooked *immediately* on TRF
after seeing the bits and pieces of it that an area TV station was using as
filler. When I heard that it was coming out on DVD...well, I went right out
and got a Season 1 set.

While Seasons two, three and four have been fine, some of my Season 1 TRF
discs are nothing but trouble. The only thing that plays them properly is a
cheap Apex Digital DVD player.

Hopefully Universal has improved the Season 1 disc set. If so, I'm sure you
will enjoy it. Even with the trouble I had, I still enjoyed seeing the show.
