One of the casualties of this weekend\'s Malibu fire is the castle
overlooking the ocean, seen in \"Only Rock N\' Roll Will Never Die\" and
\"With the French Heel Back, Can the Nehru Jacket Be Far Behind.\"
TRF guest star Rob Reiner is among the Malibu residents evacuated from
their homes.

Nasty! It seems to happen all too often there of late. I just caught a
glimpse of the tragedy as I was flicking through the channels. Didn\'t
know that that castle was one of the structures destroyed in the fire. Too
bad. Thanks for the info.
I gather by all accounts that King Sturdevant made it to safety without
being mobbed by either the women who reside there, or by the press.

We see "King" Sturtevant out here in the news a lot. Don't think he'd
be a quarterback now. Too much Duquesne. Maybe a real slow Butkus.

Watching CNN's coverage of the fire tonight, it was mentioned that the
castle "was used as a setting for several TV shows including 'The Rockford
Files'. "Rockford" was the only show mentioned by name. Nice to see it get
some mention on an international broadcast.
It was a nice castle, but it was no Tim Ritchie.

I knew someone would here would pick right up on this, but these are
anything but "wild" fires. It would have been more interesting if a
celebrity had been killed, but reports from disaster-prone regions
never mention the kind of insurance claims that mitigate sympathies
real fast.
"...Fire burns the famous Castle Kashan, a landmark fortress-like home
in Malibu, Calif., Sunday. Wildfires sparked by powerful winds broke
out late Saturday night and charred thousands of acres across Southern
California."

Not to worry about King "Meathead" Sturtevant! Just heard on the Rush
Limbaugh show this morning that he was safely tucked away in his Brentwood
home last night, hosting a fundraising soiree for the lovely and gracious
Hillary Clinton.
