The man looks, acts and walks like a killer. Would hate to get into a
traffic dispute with someone like that.

Wasn't that a title of a K-Tel album? Anyway,...
...I was thinking about the release of season 3 on DVD that's fast
approaching, although not fast enough. The first episode is "The Fourth
Man". I enjoy it but it's far from being a personal favourite of mine.
Anyway, in thinking about one of the main character's, as in Timpson Farrell
played by John McMartin, I began to think about the various hit-men
character's that appeared on Rockford. Timpson Farrell,...to me anyway,
seemed most professional. Not flashy in any sense, low-key, and running a
legitimate business on the side. He also apparently did everything by the
book, too.
On the other hand, I think that the Darwin Award should go to Bill
Fletcher's portrayal of a hitman in "The Gang at Don's Drive-In". A cowboy
hat, boots, and dressed like someone who's looking more for a rodeo than
looking to ice someone.
The funniest? Lash LaRue,...oh, Angel that is. Okay, so they tried to sell
that to us. Damn funny mind you!
Any personal favorites? I left out a couple of ringers for sure.

Thanks. How recent was this on? PBS will surely rerun it and I'd like to
catch it. Any mention of her working on Rockford Files?

By the way, where did you see that recent cameo of Gretchen?
It was some PBS thing about Portland (Oregon) theatre, and she was
cameoed for her involvement.

What is it with you and people aging? Have you joined the Sunfire Institute
and mastered Sky's (supposed) ability to youth yourself?
Some don't age as well as others, I'll give you that. Joan Van Ark is a
good example from what I've seen. But wow, you've been fixated on this
aging bit for quite some time now. Sorry to disappoint, but Prune City is
on the horizon,...

Neither am I, but I bet you that Warren Weeks would cream Jimbo at chess.
Hey, if Rocky could do it,.....
Seriously, full marks to Carole Thorne. Definitely a player who had plenty
of time on her hands previously to think about it all. I'm calling it even.
I really think they sized each up rather well.

I was comparing the schedulebot for each station and I was surprised by how
little programming the two have in common. The most prominent difference:
WGN-TV Chicago is a CW affiliate (the fifth US prime time network) but the
Superstation is not. Both stations get the WGN News at noon and at 9 pm
(central time), but the Superstation does not get the morning news. The
aforementioned syndicated airing of Matlock is on the Superstation, not the
Chicago broadcast.
If you have an HD option, that's the HD digital channel on the Chicago
broadcast; the Superstation doesn't yet have an HD simulcast.
Schedulebot for the Chicago broadcast:

Note that time zone is assumed to be Central.
