3.625
A lot of annoying exposition to explain the 4 months of changes (not
for Hiro though, oddly) - HRG prattling on, Matt running lines in a
*test scenario*, yaaarg; the contrived thing going on between Claire
and Junior Flyer (what would Freud say?)...
Does NYPD normally just barge in and shoot everyone they see until,
hopefully, arriving at the hostage?
(Are American high schools as vicious as TV claims? Americans on TV
and in movies make a huge deal out of high school -- is it really like
that?)

2.5 stars. Boring. Disappointing. The cast is now officially TOO
LARGE.

In a way, I agree. It would have been a bit nicer to jump right on in
where things left off, rather jump into the future.

4.0
Good episode for a reintroduction. I hope the next 7 episodes won't be
about Hiro trying to find that guy's inner hero. That already feels
like a bad idea for a plotline. I liked where everything else seems to
be heading.

I thought junior high was worse. By high school everyone was celf-
centered and didn't bother paying attention to anyone else. I'm also
pretty sure that in my whole school no more than a half dozen people
were actually having sex, and that might be a generous estimate.

Everyone left the explosion site with no "personal time lapse". The
show skipped 4 months for them all the same. I guess they couldn't
just jump into Kensei being white and Hiro being his student (or
whatever) without straining people's WSoD (and tolerance for
exposition).
