Okay, this is a good clarification. Lauren hasn't changed her mind
about her and Alexis being a package deal. Note that other than the
package deal thing that there's no sign of any reluctance on LG's part
to returning.

Here's the thing, though: take Kristin's report with a grain of salt.
Ausiello is still on speaking terms with people *in* the show itself
while Kristin has clearly continued to have been banned from the set
over the Pissy Polly rumor.

Semi OT: GG Importance to The CW

At TWoP there is an interview with Rob Thomas (creator and showrunner of
Veronica Mars).

One part is of interest to GG fans.

The Second Rob Thomas Interview

By Couch Baron

CB: So let's talk about the ratings. You had a big spike in the last
episode. What are you doing to try to parlay that into continued higher
ratings?

RT: Well, I'll tell you honestly -- it's a battle. The CW -- they've told
their other shows, the way they're promoting the network is to promote
Gilmore Girls, Top Model, Beauty And The Geek, and the...

That's a BBC program (from chilly England). Those lucky British
citizens get the "joy" of paying $250 a year in BBC Tax, and all they
get is 13 new episodes each year from the BBC.

The actual Sci-Fi shows like Galactica, Stargate, etcetera are 20-22
episodes long. Same as an ABC, FOX, or CW show on free tv.

Which is why I don't have cable at home. Too much money for not enough
"new" stuff. It's actually cheaper to just go rent "Monk" if I want to
see monk.

Really? Mabe I'll look into that. Is $20 just an intro rate that
later jumps to $40? If so, not interested.

Tres cool. Particularly if Lorelai made out with him in the back of
her Jeep. They'd probably break the suspension on the poor thing.

FEBRUARY SWEEPS CHALLENGE -eliminate these words from your vocabulary

Author: fred_h_haddad

"troll"
"idiot"
"asshole"
et cetera....
(other one-word insults/curses). Rise above that. If you disagree
with someone, use LOGIC to explain why you disagree. Example:

"Grass is pink."
"Shutup troll."

Instead: "Grass is pink."
"Here's a photo: As you can see grass is clearly not pink."

Eliminate these words from your vocabulary:
"troll"
"idiot"
"asshole"
et cetera....

You missed the point of the entire storyline. Of *course* she isn't
herself with Christopher -- the story is about Lorelai making a big
mistake in order to hide/deny to herself the immense, unbearable pain
that she feels from (rightfully) breaking up with Luke.

IMO, you need to make a substantial pardigm shift -- just because the
lead character is depicted making a monumental mistake does not mean
that the show is *advocating* in favor of that mistake. Quite the
contrary, the show is arguing *against* that mistake.

The show is arguing that Lorelai's marriage to Christopher is all-but
emotionally empty, powered by the immense feelings of nostalgia they
have for each other and ready to implode at any minute because...
