TV GUIDE
The doctor is in. Dr. Elizabeth Corday, that is.
Over the holidays, an airdate was set for Alex Kingston's return to ER
as Dr. Mark Greene's widow.
Kingston, whose original ER run spanned seven seasons (from 1997 to
2004), will resurface in the Jan. 15 episode, when Neela goes in for
an attending interview and is surprised to run into Dr. Corday.
"I've been gone five years but it seems like yesterday," Kingston said
in an interview when her return first was announced. "It'll be great
to see everyone again."

Look who ER dug up to celebrate its final season: Dr. Mark Greene, who
died of a brain tumor in Hawaii back in 2002. Original cast member
Anthony Edwards signed a deal Wednesday night to reprise his popular
character for the Nov. 13 episode of the long-running NBC drama.
Dearly departed Mark will not be spooking Linda Cardellini (of Scooby
Doo fame), but rather will be appearing in multiple flashback scenes
to give insight into the past of Angela Bassett's character.
In the episode, Bassett's Cate Banfield enters County General
Hospital's emergency room — but not in a doctor capacity. At her
bedside is Edwards, who collected numerous awards for playing one of
TV's all-time most compassionate docs.
Entitled "Heal Thyself," the episode is to shoot next week and was
written by ER executive producer David Zabel, who will also direct.
For its 15th and final season, the series hopes to bring back other
familiar vets for one last hurrah, including Noah Wyle, who will
return for four of the final episodes. — William Keck

Who would win in a fight?
Abbey or Gregory House?
Abbey or one the characters on Grey's anatomy?

Watching re-runs before I leave for work I am reminded of the episode
with Galant's entrance; the one with a security guard who tries suicide
it affects Luka's friend who's father also hung himself. Remember this ep?
OK, well another story line within the same episode is the Med/Law
student (her parents wont pay for the Med tuition unless she _also_
follows in their lawyerly footsteps.) Well, girly-girl is feeling the
weight and is acting out in harmful ways. (Man, what a bummer, she was
going to be my poster girl for a return of a marginal, one shot
character return.)
I forget right now what her exit stage left situation will be but I
still like her over-achieving, Kirk Douglas chin dimple having, Black
haired/ Blue eyed, 'smart as a whip but in over her head and
compensating' way of emoting.
What got me to write this in the 1st place is the idea that I'd like to
see her pop back up again. Best would be if we could see her over her
troubles and successful and all that. In fact I was 1st struck as a
suitable 'John found love again'.
Wait, wait, wait... Galant comes over as she is 'de-stress-ifying' in a
gurney bed and offers to help with her studies for an upcoming exam...
