this clip shows glimpses of what it is like here, the vocalist speaks
to his reality. i can't verify current stats, but i'm sure i could
come up with worse. the comments to the video reflect any variety of
things. i am never sure what is most striking - the socio-economic
aspects - absolutely little/poorly understood (ie, disinvestment
happened well before the riots of the 60s, federal policies that
contributed to decentralization, etc), the political (republican, not
democratic policies), the racial. & much more - the vestiges of the
world's one time greatest concentration of industry. the evidence of
a destroyed social/civic compact, etc.
