there are two survivors and two dancing with the stars, for example,
during the year and there have been ten bb's so why couldn't they get
into the regular schedule, twice a year. would keep this group from
folding, that's for sure:)
Don't worry, this group won't fold. People will post updates during the shows downtime and starting in the spring will start to hear spoilers about what is planned for the show and rumors about possible HGs. Then we'll bitch about the twist (note to Allison: how about no twist again which made BB10 one of the best seasons ever) and how certain houseguests will be annoying, stupid, etc. even though we nothing about them at the time.
Concerning why BB is a summer show and not a regular show probably has a lot to do with it's format. BB is shown three times a week and there is just too much competition during the regular TV season for it to convince people to tune in three hours per week. The game also relies on the HGs doing a lot of activities outside and the weather isn't conducive enough to achieve the best results. If you watched BB9 on the live feeds you'll know what I mean. Yes, there was a lot of hot tub action but that group was so frickin' crazy (a good number of them) that a lot of what they did wasn't even suitable to get mentioned on TV let alone be shown.
The live feeds, which are a huge part of the BB game/show for a lot of fans, probably fit into more people's schedule during the summer than they would during the fall and winter. Also, multiple seasons in one year would kill some viewers. Like me! BB belongs in the summer and one season per year is enough. I would like them to go back to slightly longer seasons but that obviously depends on what CBS has planned for their fall schedule and how BB is doing in the ratings. BB10 had a late start due to BB9 so I'm confident BB11 will start right at the beginning of July instead of in the middle.

It is a good, cheap summer fill-in show.
Also, even on the left coast...it's cool at night for the house guests.

I'd much rather have a Prius, Camry Hybrid, Civic Hybrid or even a
used Honda Insight Hybrid.

If not that, he should buy a gold bar and bury it in his back yard
with today's economy.
If I had that kind of extra dough, I may have bought a Honda Insight
or Prius, added the 5th electricity generating wheel and the plug in
hybrid mod for 200+MPG.

madame s,
i don't recall ever hearing any verdict except the impeachment itself
which bob has explained does not render a verdict and asked him why
there was no follow-up. did they take the presumption of innocence to
extremes or something?

chaldean said:
Impeachment sets up charges; it does not determine guilt or innocence.
That is the function of a trial, conducted by the Senate.
The president is to leave office when found *guilty* of the article(s)
of impeachment.
Since America at least professes the idea of innocent until proven
guilty, the President remains in office until such time as the Senate
may return a guilty verdict.
why wasn't there a trial then? wouldn't that have been the way to deal
with this instead of staging a constitutional game of some sort? i guess
nixon left at the very thought of impeachment because he knew he was
guilty. is this how we determine guilt or exoneration, by the
subsequent actions of the accused?

Yeah, THAT would be a good reason. NOT.
