Elvis' version is not good at all, IMO.

At this point, I am predicting Cook will do the fairly recent Johnny Cash
version. The arrangement is great, although his voice was shot by the time
he recorded it and I couldn't bring myself to listen to it all the way
through. I love Johnny Cash, even his late stuff, but I just couldn't.

I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you using the group "you" or the
specific "you?' Do I think that music not first performed in the 70s could
be relevant? Heck half the music of the 70s wasn't relevant in the 70s. :)
Let me go listen to it and see what I think, because I honestly haven't
heard of the song.

Just in case anyone is interested, here's that King Singers version on
YouTube (with a bogus TV video)
