... and I like Amanda Overmyer. I admit it.
I like her style. I like her voice. I like her hair. I want to ride
behind her on her roaring, vibrating motorcycle while she wears her
nursing uniform. I want her to tie me up and force me to listen to
her sing Janis Joplin songs all night long. I see her as Nikki
McKibbin on crack and I think of that as a good thing.
OK, I got up the courage to take the first step ... now what are the
other 11 ?

Obviously you're in the minority of AI viewers with that opinion or
she'd be gone already.

I don't see the problem.
Let's suppose Hillary Clinton, who is currently having a poorshowng
against Obama, sent out messages to all her myspace friends that she
really needed them to vote for her in the next primary. What
difference would it make? Her fans are going to vote for her anyway;
it's preaching to the choir. Same thin with AI.

Didn't like their past performances? The show is live, right? It
doesn't really bother me. I mean anyone looking at their myspace
page to being with would probably vote for them.

"Idol" Kids -- Feudin' Like Cats and Dogs
Posted Feb 29th 2008 2:49PM by TMZ Staff
We have spies -- of course we do -- inside "American Idol," and things
between the contestants have gotten ugly from the get go.
At least one of the female contestants has taken cheap, Imus shots at
Syesha Mercado, calling her hair "nappy," among other insults --
behind her back. Nice.
And the guys were ganging up against 17-year-old David Archuleta,
making snarky remarks, again, behind his back. But who can blame them?
Our sources say record execs at 19 Entertainment have already been in
touch with top record publishers in Hollywood, and the word has
already been sent out to songwriters to write this kid some tunes.

On next Thursday's results show, season six finalist Blake Lewis will
return to the IDOL stage to debut his new single "How Many Words", a
fan-favorite off of Lewis' debut album Audio Day Dream.
Lewis was born in Redmond, WA, and started singing at age five. He
competed
in statewide talent contests while in high school and became a
beat-boxer at 17, inspired by the then-Seattle-based a capella group
M-Pact. Lewis was also a member of the Pacific Northwest a capella group
Kickshaw for four years.

I hadn't heard that Blake was going to be on the AI Results show next
Thursday.
Am looking forward to seeing him.
I notice they don't seem to be having any guest stars on yet, but maybe
they will later on in the season? There also doesn't seem to be quite as
much "fluff" on the Results shows either...dare we hope they'll continue
like that?!

OK, you guys know me, you know I never (or hardly ever) use rough language,
but I just gotta.....
That was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG!!!
First of all, we had really GOOD seats - in the club section (we had to show
out tickets to even get into this area where they had a bar and its own
concessions - two burgers, fries and two softdrinks cost us $35!!!!). Then
we had to show our tickets again to get down to the second row above the
floor - right on level with and to the right side of the stage - about 35
feet from the stage (and Rob Thomas makes a point of coming all the way out
to the end of the stage right next to the audience). We could not have had
better seats - even front row wasn't as good because they were too low and
people had to crane their necks up to see. Besides, being on the second row
up we could see over everyone else's heads even when they were standing.
Anyway...

Ruben Returns For 'Idol' Farewell Track
http://billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003717929
To paraphrase "The Godfather" -- just when you think you're out on
"American Idol," they keep pulling you back in. Indeed, season-two
winner Ruben Studdard will perform the "farewell song" used to play
off the losing contestants when they depart the top 12.
This year, the song will be a cover of Kenny Loggins' "Celebrate Me
Home," in a new version produced by Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam. "It's
very soulful, very heartfelt," Lewis says. "Ruben is singing his pants
off."
It's a significant gig for Studdard, who was dropped by J Records at
the end of 2007. He is, however, still managed by the show's 19
Entertainment and under contract to subsidiary 19 Recordings, a link
that paved the way for him to return to the show as the song's
performer.
"Ruben has never left our fold," "AI" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe
says. "[With] the success that we've had with the play-off song, I
wanted to keep it in-house."
