Can someone explain something about voting on AI or DWTS? Let's say there's
only an hour to vote. And let's say there are at least 1,000,000 people who
want to vote for each contestant. The only way a vote could be meaningful
is the phone system for the voting can record more votes in the time
allotted than there are votes to be cast. In other words, if the phone
system can only accomodate 1,000,000 votes per hour, and there's only one
hour alloted for voting, and there are more than 1,000,000 people who want
to vote for each contestant, the result should be a dead tie, no?

I didn't get any response to the post I made last night, reminding
Dancing With The Stars fans that the kickoff for the new season started
tonight, so if there isn't that many watching, then I won't bother to
recap after this week. Maybe not as many are interested as they use to
be? I love the show myself!
Tom Bergeron announced that this will be a two night premiere event, and
the dancers will be "double dipping" for this week.
Season 6 of Dancing With The Stars kicked off this year with "Macho
Monday", where the 6 guys and their professional dance partners will
perform tonight, and tomorrow night the 6 gals will show what they have
to offer, and compete with the guys, for 6 votes per phone line, or
online. There will be no elimination this week. The couples will all be
dancing again next Monday, and Tuesday will be DWTS's first double
elimination.
The pro dancers were introduced..there is one new pro joining the other
returning eleven. His name is Fabian Sanchez and he will dance with
Marlee Matlin tomorrow night. They opened the show with a lively
performance. I DO miss seeing "my Maks" this season!

Was that a subconscious Beatle's week hybrid of "Hey Jude" and "Ticket
to Ride?" ;)

Jason Taylor is HOT!!!!
Mario is a natural and should be the early favorite among the men.
The Latino actor wasn't as good as he thought he was.
Priscilla Presley has had *way* too much botox.

I really liked him, and I thought it sucked that he essentially was booted
because of his past as even his bad performance was not as bad as Cook's. I
am rethinking this a little because of his Ellen appearance today.
I thought he acted a little strange, and in my opinion Ellen seemed a little
put off by the way he was hanging her....and as much as she hangs on people
that would be hard to do. Could just be me, though. He did dance with the
mic pole like it was a stripper pole though....that was hot =P

I still don't know who runs this damn site -- I believe it's someone close
to him, or he's ghostrunning it through some friends/family.
But anyway, they're using his time on Idol to benefit the American Cancer
society. All DC gear sold through their Cafe Press shop proceeds go to ACS.
http://www.davidcooktheamericanidol.com/shop-for-david/
I think I'm gonna buy an I <3 Word Nerds T to support.
He's quietly passionate about the matter due to having a family member who
is a cancer patient, and I think it's fab that he's taking this early step
to capitalize on his Idol exposure to support his cause.
