A blogger posted this rant complaing that Josiah and Kyle didn't make
the finals due to a "stacked deck".
"Among the suspicious singers in the Idol season 7 running are Carly
Smithson, who was once signed to MCA Records under the name Carly
Hennessy; Michael Johns, who used to front the major-label rock band
the Rising under the name Michael Lee; onetime Star Search winner
David Archuleta; former Boys N Girlz United boyband singer (and
Britney Spears's ex-boyfriend!) Robbie Carrico; Cheyenne cast member
Jason Castro; Making The Band also-ran Jason Yeager; former Arista
Nashville signing Kristy Lee Cook; and Mo'Nique's Fat Chance plus-size
beauty pageant winner Joanne Borgella. Poor Josiah and Kyle never had
a chance, fat or otherwise, against these pros."
Does anybody care that these singers are getting second bites at the
apple?

Postal Lottery: Turn $6 into $60,000 in 90 days, GUARANTEED
I found this in a news group and decided to try it. A little while
back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now and
came across a message just like this that said you could make
thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00!!!
So I thought yeah right, this must be a scam!!! But like most of us, I
was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to
each of the 6 names and addresses stated in the message. You then
place your own name and address at the bottom of the list at #6 and
post the message in at least 200 news groups. (There are thousands to
choose from). No catch, that was it.

I was watching am idol rewind today and although Cory Clarkson ( I think
that is his name) was there and didn't get eliminated he didn't perform.
Everyone else did but not him. Does anyone know why? I also didn't remember
Ricky Smith being so good.

Eliminated 'Idol' Josiah's Next Step
By Laura Saltman on February 14, 2008 3:54 PM
Ah, the manipulative power of television.
I've just gotten off the phone with Josiah Leming who, thanks to the
producers of "American Idol," is now enjoying his 15 minutes of fame in
a big way. I'm not sure why 18-year-old Josiah was the chosen one this
season to become the person they gave so much airtime too (and then send
packing!) but believe me he is not complaining. OK, well he sort of
isn't complaining,
"My belief is that they were trying to make me look bad. They were
trying to make me look like a crybaby and then trying to make me look
like I was overconfident - but I'm thankful. If I could see them right
now, I would give them the biggest hug ever because they have launched
my career."Â

Please help me understand some things regarding the AI process:
1. How does a contestant make it to the Randy-Paula-Simon part of the
auditions multiple times? There are 10,000 people in the stadiums. How
do they make it through?
2. What do the 10,000 people do when they get to the stadium? Does each
one get the opportunity to do a pre-audition to see if they make the
next cut? Do they just show up for the party?
3. Are the Randy-Paula-Simon contestants bused from the stadium to the
hotel where the audition is being held? I spent a few days at the Rancho
Bernardo Inn where the auditions were held in San Diego. There is no
stadium close by, and it does not have the facilities to handle a crowd
like they showed at the stadium.
Thanks for the input!
