Yes and no. If I can hear f*ck and sh*t then it wasn't entirely
bleeped out. I think they wanted the viewers to know what the racers
were saying. Let's face it, all they would have had to do was not
record the racers when they were swearing or else simply edit it out
altogether. Instead, the final show as shown for repeats basically
had a constant beep sound every couple of minutes. My guess is that
there were some complaints, either from viewers, advertisers, censors,
AXN executives or some combination there of. You might argue that
swearing on TV is okay (and, granted, I certainly hear enough of it on
HBO) but AXN repeats The Amazing Race Asia on the Fridays at 12:00
noon and then again on Saturdays at 11:00 am. I watched it again on
Saturday and there were only a couple of sh*ts that got through so
they must have gone back and made the beeps longer so that the words
were properly censored out.
