I'm relating what the other teams seemed to be basing some of their
decision on. Certainly it was in part due to the last episode where
most of them picked the physical task and wound up regretting it. But
I also heard some of them comment how CLOSE the puzzle location was,
which also must've played a part in their decision-making.

Of course I would. Anytime one team makes a different decision than
all the others, then the reasons behind that decision should always be
looked at. Sometimes it makes perfect sense, other times it does
not.

Besides, it's not that the BQs decided which task to do, it was that
their decision-making process we saw did not appear to include any
consideration that the "puzzle" task was closer by. And they were
definately NOT in a rush, nor did they need to be knowing that at
least three other teams didn't catch the same flight that they did.
Certainly they knew they had a few minutes at least (they probably
knew they had a lot more time than that) to consider some of the
possibilities. Good teams take the time to consider possibilities that
might save hours of making mistakes.

But let's look at it this way, if YOU were faced with the same choices
as the teams were last episode, would it not be worth it to get a taxi
cab and go to the puzzle location first (taking what, a couple of
minutes perhaps) and have the taxi wait outside until you could
determine if the puzzle was going to be a tough one or not? After
all, the clue contained enough information to know that "Schlep It"
would take at least 45 minutes to an hour to complete depending on how
fast you could hustle "More than a Mile" (see CBS TAR website) with
two 50 pound logs on a cart.

So if the BQs were two "buff guys", I would not only question why they
are called "Beauty Queens", but I'd also question why they chose the
physical task so quickly without apparently considering at least
looking at the puzzle task given that it was closer and they had
plenty of time to do so without fear of being passed by the remaining
teams.
