No, they'll just rag on him for pointing out his own kind gesture,
instead of hiding his light under a bushel like all other reality TV
contestants do.

As I said over on TWoP, they are just DAMN good at this. They start
out even with ten other teams, get to the airport #2/3, reach the
restaurant in first place, and hit the detour with enough time to
spare to try both tasks. If a team were ever going to get that
insurmountable one-day lead that all the bunching and
hours-of-operation setups are designed to prevent, it'll be them.
Even with nine other teams in the field, I'd almost put even money on
them to win right now.
> Yes, taking "Recover" over "Wrangle" was questionable,

Not bad when you're in first place, though. Sometimes the
needle-in-a-haystack task is faster than expected, so if you're in
first, you might as well try it for a bit. If it works out, you
cruise on to the pit stop without getting any horse manure on you. If
it doesn't, the other task is right over there.

Yes, no one wants to end up knee-deep in mud yelling about one's
broken ox.

That's the thing, even when they make a mistake, it doesn't look like
one, because they stay relaxed and smart about it.

Never having seen these guys before, I was impressed. (Are they gay?
Because I don't want to perpetuate any stereotypes, but they seem a
little gay.) It was nice to see a team that had enough class to joke
about Rob and Amber's popularity ("I hear you guys have your own cable
channel?") without being envious or snotty about it.

Um, yeah. Although there's plenty of competition in the eye-candy
department on this season.

Ok, I'm fed up with them. I liked them somewhat last time, but
something just seemed off, and now they're really annoying me. Stop
with the sob story about how tough your relationship is because you
can't conceive a child. I feel sooooo sorry for you attractive
people, with your nice jobs and home, and that big pile of money you
won to roll around in having sex while you attempt to get preggers.
Good grief. I'm sure it's hard, but have a little decorum about it.

And since you apparently have some aversion to adoption, say what it
is, because I'm going to have to understand why you haven't already
gotten a kid or three that way before I break out the tissues.

They did pretty well, for their age. We just didn't see enough of
them for me to get any feel for how strong team they can be, though.
> Teri 'n Ian

I liked them more than I expected to. They'll get on my nerves if
they start bitching at each other like I've read they did in their
first season, but they look like a strong team.
> BQ's

Why oh why do girls with gorgeous straight blonde hair have to go and
make it curly? Such a waste. But my goodness, the one stretching at
the pit stop in slow-motion.......whew.
> David 'n Mary

Their lame attempt at lamely throwing off the BQs was really lame. A
certain number of teams were going to end up on that flight with them,
so the only thing that could accomplish was to make sure the BQs ended
up there instead of some other team. Was it really smart to think
they'd rather go up against the BQs in a race for last place, rather
than one of the older, slower teams? It wasn't just lame, it was a
bad idea.

Yeah, no kidding. The world is a sadder place for it.

Yep. Good on reading the clue, but they should have done it sooner.
I think this was one case where bringing a local along actually hurt
them, because they were busy befriending him and letting him tell them
where to go, instead of re-reading the clue and going over all the
possible details.
> Kevin 'n Drew

Wasn't I supposed to like these guys? No such luck so far. They seem
grouchy and unpleasant, and not very strong racers. And since when
can't too burly guys change a freakin' tire? I've changed dozens of
them; it's really not that hard. Pansies.

And when you come in next to last, despite being the slowest team,
falling and hurting yourself, and driving across Ecuador on the rim,
try to show a little enthusiasm. The way they looked, they should
have sat down and refused to cross the mat, so they could go relax in
Sequesterville and a team that wanted to race could stay in it.

I was sorry to see them go, if for no other reason than I hadn't seen
them before, and they really did seem to want to race. Their
relationship blather was silly (Oh, I just can't decide whether to
commit myself to this gorgeous and caring woman that I say is
wonderful) but I talked about that in another thread already. She was
mighty cute, but fortunately we have several spares in that
department.
