Good episode - gee, can you tell it was filmed in October?
I felt bad for the losers - I like them as a team and as people. I
thought they'd go farther. But, as always, all it takes is one bad task
and you're done.
The 1st place team - barring a calamity, meltdown, u-turn or something
they are definitely the team to beat! They're breezing through just
about everything. I love their t-shirts, too. Both from last week and
this week.
The Honk Kong visit was kinda' weird. Fly here all on one plane, go to
two clue boxes, count some money and leave all on the same plane again.
The retired Navy guy and his wife are starting to win me over a bit.
She's still too whiny, but they (or the editing) have toned it down
since the first episode.
Gee, and NO ONE was afraid of the bungy. Who was it that mentioned
about the all the teams being alpha?
Take care,
Rich

Missed that? What was the proof?

Oh hell yeah.

You know youre last when youre told to follow the production crew to the
pitstop. They should have had a clue at the boat event saying make your way
to the pitstop. I guess the production crew didnt take into account that a
team would arrive that late.

How can u be afraid of the shortest bungee jump in TAR history. I mean if u
can survive a bungee jump if the rope breaks then it's not a great bungee
jump.

Great fun.

That brings up an interesting question then:
What was the best episode of TAR ever?

Why do you think that they didn't already know that they were eliminated?
It seemed pretty clear that they knew they were last (and that it was an
elimination) when they were told to folow to the pitstop. It isn't like
there is an alternative to obeying at that point.

Well first one that comes to my mind is from season 1 where Momily loses to
Guidos in the FF and the surprise(?) ending.

Haunted house.

There is no real danger in bungee jumping, rock climbing, canoeing, etc...
either. The Haunted House gets points for being different, kinda like the
"ice house'/bar in TAR a couple seasons back.
I wasn't thinking in terms of it being scary or dangerous. I just liked
the idea that TARA specifically designed a race leg to end with a task done
at night. That doesn't happen very often with TAR.

I guess that's the flip side of not hurrying. You hurry and you make
stupid mistakes and it costs you. You don't hustle and you end up left
behind like these two and eliminated.

The others require some measure of coordination, physical prowess, or
aptitudes. The haunted house just requires walking. I'll concede the
point about being different.

I didn't know that. Not around here they're not. I stand corrected.
