TARA - epi 9 - a few quick comments

Crazy on UTube - parts 2/5 and 3/5 no 1/5. Is Sony deleting them as
fast as they are uploaded???

The hatred for the moms really showed this epi. No logical thinking
at the intersection either.

Just saw the whole thing. How do you almost kill yourself walking off
a high dive? Judging by the comments near the end, Henry & Terri
have a combined IQ of an avocado.

The UTube clip I saw had A & C doing a commercial for a camcorder.
Has there been other TAR's or TARA's that featured a commercial with
some of the current participants?

Oh - and to Henry 6 hours, 18 minutes is not 12 hours behind and you
don't get caught up due to skill, you get caught up due to an
intersection. Makes for an interesting race for last place.

Is the torrent up anywhere?

I got it off IRC. Since you ask I'm going to try to figure out how to
post to mininovae. This is a first for me so be a little patient..

The memory thing off the high dive was scary. I'm guess her head hit
the water oddly. Even when she just got out of the pool someone off
camera asks if she wants to see a medic.

That was bizarre. Even more bizarre was the way her sister responded to her
strange behavior by repeatedly yanking her head around.

And STILL no reasons given... Shoot the editors.

'Course, you wouldn't be able to rely on Terri and Henry beating a team
you snubbed at the Intersection. You might have a few hours lead, but
there'd be a huge target on you...

P.S. Funny how we all got the result we wanted, as per TAR:USA this
week, but it was altogether less satisfying. Terri and Henry were not
only pathetic racers in 5 of the past 6 episodes, they've probably
screwed up next week too when it comes to picking the last team.

Ten metres is a frickin' long way. Plus the explicit advice was to
"never fall backwards", resulting in half of them doing face plants...

I was thoroughly pissed off at the episode at this stage (given the
Intersection was allowing Terri and Henry the opportunity to infect
another team with mediocrity), but the concussion angle was compelling
stuff. And shortly afterwards there was a happy ending :)

For us U.S. folks I believe that's a tad under 33 feet. In my
youth I climbed a huge cottonwood and had to be a good 40+ feet up (I
was well above the 2 story houses). I probably would have crawled
off and hung onto the high dive platform and let go LOL. At least I
would have a better chance of not doing a face plant. You can tell
by the splash it was not a good hit. Not enough bikini action
either ;0(

I'm trying to remember a few years back in TAR: US there was a team that
everyone hated and none of us could figure out why. The conclusion we
reached is that they were jerks during the pit stops, which was
something that the show wouldn't show. Maybe this is similar?
