It was a heartwarming episode. I didn't realize that the racers hang-
out and bond when they're not racing. I thought they just rest and
prepare for the next leg. While they were in New Zealand, they
celebrated Henri's birthday. They enjoyed the sights, they bungee
jumped (by three's), the flying thing looked so fun too!
In another pit stop they all swam together in a hot pool (i think) and
it there where it was mentioned that the moms were always in a game
mode even during their down times...so that was the reason the other
teams weren't warm towards them.
It was heartbreaking for the racers when Daichi/Sawaka (of Japan) got
eliminated. They were so loved by the group. Marc said that if there
are poster children for how nice and wonderful japanese people are, it
would be them. The mom who tricked them cried. It was very painful
for her to do it but she had no choice because they were on the brink
of elimination.
Marc was a geography major and knew the flags very well. It was just
ironic that it was Rovi's turn to do that final roadblock. Both have
very nice words for Collin and Adrian. It just shows how
sportsmanlike they are.

It seems as though Sony has taken a copyright infringment stance against the
posting of TAR Asia episodes on Youtube. Rather odd thing to do now that
the season is over. I wonder if the show has been re-sold for a secondary
airing and that is why they are suddenly trying to stop world viewers from
seeing this 'local' race? In any case, since the reunion show is not
avialable on Youtube I havne't seen it. ...and no, I'm not interested in IRC
or bittorrent.
The one thing I did find on Youtube was a snippet from the reunion party
where unseen clips of the show are put into a compilation video. Of note:

That isn't actually possible, so I am not sure what you mean.

You mean you've never had to sit waiting for something to download
through Youtube before you could watch it? While I was on vacation in
the Philippines, I tried watching an episode of TARA through Youtube
but I lost patience: I was waiting and waiting and I simply gave up.
When I got back to Taiwan, I was able to download TARA episodes
through bittorent at a top speed of 200 kb/s which meant I was able to
download an entire episode in less than two hours. I was able to
watch one episode and dowload a second episode at the same time so
there was very little waiting involved. Now, mind you, I haven't
tried watching TARA episodes on Youtube here in Taiwan but I've had
considerable waits just downloading trailers.

YouTube pretty much looks like streaming video to me. It might take a
couple seconds to cue up, but after that it runs real time.

Well, when I tried an episode of TARA through Youtube in the
Philippines I waited a good ten minutes and was only able to watch the
first couple of minutes, so bittorrent was the way to go for me.

Firefox actually has a plug in that you can pull Youtube videos to your
hard drive. You then have to do a conversion on it (freeware programs
available) to convert from .flv to .avi or .mpg. Now it's still the
same compressed-the-poop-out-of-it quality that you see on Youtube, but
it is possible.
Take care,

I picked up a local paper here and it looks as though The Amazing Race
Asia is _starting_ on March 3rd on AXN Taiwan. I saw it already on
AXN Asia from the Philippines and didn't realize that it wasn't being
shown concurrently on the local channel.

I was mistaken: I checked with my students and the Amazing Race Asia
_has_ been running in Taiwan and March 3rd is the day they will air
the final episode for Season 2. I apologize for the misinformation.
