TARA 2.12 - Spoilers...

Just a quick note or two: I really thought they were going to get
very picky and penalize Pamela and Vanessa for using their hands --
and not "the tools as provided" -- especially since the editors seemed
to drive that point home a few times. But, just a red herring, I
suppose.

By the way, I've been meaning to say ever since this race started that
Pamela reminds me a lot of actress Rosa Blasi at times (former star of
the Lifetime drama "Strong Medicine" - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0087726/
). Check out the photos at the imdb, especially the black and white
ones.

I guess the producers figured they would have to use their hands when
they used the shovels or not. How could you prohibit them from using
their hands?

I don't see it...but what do I know?

Since when does a bank make paint? Nice charity gesture, but still....

Haven't watched it all yet but I see A/C saved a whole lot of time
with that fast forward last epi finishing up 2 hours, 27 minutes ahead
or M/R.

I love the 'phony' clue boxes LOL

Yeah, I noticed that, too. It seemed like a short leg and we were
right. The last team arrived before 11 AM.

Although since Budapest was having a heat wave at the time I have to
wonder whether the producers might have cut the leg short so the teams
weren't racing in the middle of the day.

Take care,
Rich

God bless the USA

The illustration showed someone using their hands, also.

I would assume the rules precluded obtaining tools from other sources,
not prohibiting using your hands.

Finally watched the whole thing. Last place was never in doubt from
the beginning and they didn't even try to build up the suspense. I
don't think it would have mattered in the ladies were penalized.

All in all pretty lame tasks. An animal attack around the clue box
would have made it more interesting :-)

I was surprised that it was that much time. The challenges shown in the
last leg of the race were all really short tasks.

I agree, but it seemed quite odd that the editing wasted so much time on the
subject if it was a non-issue.

Side note: during the last 12 hour pitstop, did they have time to visit a
hair salon?

I'd rather see TAR teams paint a building and deliver a check than something
stupid and superficial like delivering a pile of toys.

Not a good idea to take a different flightplan from everyone else. The odds
of elimination from the entire race far outweigh the odds of getting ahead
for even one leg. In all likelyhood, they would have been let on standby
and been neck and neck if they had just chosen to stick with everyone else.

It reminded me of the America's Next Top Model season where they went out to
a Preserve outside Capetown and did a photoshoot along the creek bed. The
landscape actually looks quite a bit like parts of the western US.
