By that definition, every game played at Chapman Stadium is Tulsa is a
"home" game for the visiting team...:)
Kansas/Missouri is a rather fierce rivalry going back to 1856 when
they used firearms, not football teams against each other. So the hate
is long 'n deep which tends to motivate the "visiting" team.

Again, if your definition of "home game" is "most fans of one team" at
the game, then it's a "home game". If location has anything to do
with it, then the fact that the stadium is in Missouri and is not
normally used by Kansas, at best it's a home game with a big twist.
But technically speaking, Kansas was the designated "home" team just
as OU/Texas trade "home" designations when they play in the Cotton
Bowl every year (the stadium, not the "bowl" game)

You keep chopping out the fact that this was a rivalry game with a
long history played on a neutral site. It was not a TRUE home game for
Kansas just as it was not a TRUE home game for Texas playing OU this
year despite Texas wearing the "home" colors.

Actually, Michigan was ranked #5 going into the season and showed
right off that they didn't deserved it by getting beat by a lower
division team. Until then, no top 5 team had ever lost to a AA school
and this happened at Michigan.

It's certainly been the wildest season I can remember with so many top
teams falling out seemingly every week.

Because it's irrelevant. Kansas was the home team, both technically, and
in terms of fan support and stadium proximity.
