Proceeded by an hour long special on "man-made" global warming whose
effects were readily apparent when I flipped to FOX to see the NFC
Championship Game. Excuse me, only the "3rd" coldest NFL game on
record?
Damn you, man-made global warming! Damn you!
TAR12 finishes its remarkable run showered in glory...by the thirteen or
so people not glued to the NFC Champ game...whatever...betcha CBS wishes
the Goth Squad had stayed in the race.
I will say this, seeing Alaska was a great way to finish the race, the
first memorable location on the race. Also, I would like to sign up
for the college course required to understand the final Roadblock.
Let's Get to the Teams;
TK 'n the Bear - the freakin' WINNNAAAAAAHHHHHHSSSSS!!!!!
By telling us that slowing down and taking one task at a time is a
great way to race, you are giving away a closely kept secret of how to...
what am I saying? TAR contestants have never watched TAR.
Of course, getting a taxi driver who knows where they are going helps.
I think the strain of not worrying is starting to wear on TK.

OBJECTION!!! Your honor may I point out the scenery from the Irish
coast. And Burkina Faso was memorable, though I must admit the
memories won't be as positive as Alaska.. .camel milk, chickens and
leaky school houses.

People smoke turkeys and hams all the time. :-)
Take care,

YOu think you've got it bad? Come to Canada, where traditionally US
football was aired on Global TV, but this year is on CTV, that also
airs The Amazing Race. So we have to wait till 10pm. But wait! I
turn on the tv set in anticipation, and it's going into something called
overtime (as if football games don't generally run into the next
program), and according to the bit on the screen, only the second time
this has happened (or something like that).
They can't even finish on time, and they running blurbs on the bottom
of the screen about the post-game show.
Who knows when The AMazing Race will finally come on, and I can't
even watch a DVD while waiting since they dont' conveniently end on
a nice half hour point, so I have to keep watching to know when it
all ends.

Presumably because helicopters are something out of the ordinary, something
most of us don't experience, so it's extra exciting, which then leads to
thoughts of other things that are extra exciting.
Plus, they have no control over the situation so they might as well.
It is interesting that we never see a team tell a pilot "Can you hurry
up, this is earthshattering for us and we have to get there first". I
guess because it is out of the ordinary, so they don't backseat drive.
