One of the losses of not producing in HD is that the future value in
syndication is reduced. By this time next year we will be over half a
year into the new television system. Looking at "old" programs is going
to be visually painful, both in low resolution and the constricting,
almost square box 4:3 format. Viewers will have countless HD
alternatives to watch on their new televisions.

"Deadliest Catch" shoots HD in unbelievably hostile conditions. It would
not be any of that effort to shoot TAR in HD.
