Oh my gosh. Jen, _honey_, if you want to get first place then you have
to get to the mat first. Don't try to guilt another team into giving up
their placement just because you want to come in first. Hendekea was
right. They're racing as hard as they can so they can come in first, no
so they can make nice with another team by giving up the position.

I agree. The complaint about racing to the mat made no sense. This is
TARace, not TAShare.

I agree, as well. Get to the mat first, Jen, or deal with it.
Take care,

But, that is what they are teaching kids these days. No one takes score, and
everybody is a winner.

GOLD -- and it would have been in tune with this season in a sense, as
I don't recall them ever having to beep [well, silence] so many of the
competitors ever before.

Yes that is how many leagues (not all) are doing that for the little ones.

I'm still not sure what word they dropped from Hendekea. It sounded
like she made comment about handicap people that wasn't politically
correct.

We kept score ... and after a loss ... I'd put my arm around my
son ... console him ... telling him that sometimes you win ...
sometimes you lose ... but always do your best ... because how you
feel about yourself is more important than winning or losing ... Now
get your lazy losing ass outside and run 10 laps ... and you better
not lose again ... the next loss it'll be 20 ...
