>I have been watching the reruns of the Amazing Race on GSN thanks to my
>son, who gave me a DVR for Christmas. It got me thinking about who the
>drama queens are or who caused the drama.... I have complied my list from
>each season. Feel free to add to it, agree to it or even disagree with
>it....
>
> Lets get talkin about the racers of the past and present....
>
> So here I go:
>
> Season 1
>
> Team Guido: They caused the drama. They stirred it up because they thought
> they had control of everyone admitted they had the control. There was the
> scene in the airport where they try to block teams on purpose from
> boarding a plane. Security was called and they moved away. In the process
> of blocking the teams they did push Nancy. That was a very unpopular move
> agreed on by all the teams. *** They helped purchase tickets for a ferry.
> Group rate was better than the individual rate. Well Guido spoke french
> so they handled it. They did not like it when some of the other teams got
> upset with the slowness of the handing out of the tickets and Guido
> threatened to tear up the tickets (wish they did .. that is so against
> race rules).
>
> Now they are in the All Stars Race. Can they get away with their drama or
> are the other teams wise to them?
They were one of the reasons that made TAR so attractive. Glad they were
invited to do All Stars.
> Season 2:
>
> Tara/Wil: Caused Drama and Drama Queens: I can still hear Will throwing
> his tantrums; when he thought they were out. Or yelling and screaming at
> Tara because she wasn't doing things his way. Amazing how Tara was the one
> that got them from point A to point B without trouble. Will drives and
> they get lost for an eternity. He stirred up issues with Chris and Alex.
> Could be that Tara was sweet on Chris..... WW3 broke out with Will at the
> Pit Stop in South Africa. Upset over the fact that Tara was sweet on
> Chris.
Those two seemed to have set the stage for having at least one bickering
couple in each race since S2. I loved Tara but Wil was such a dick. Really
amazing those two made it so far in the race.
>
> Blake/Paige: Caused Drama: Well they were accused of it. Blake and Paige
> played the game in every way and they were unpopular for doing so.
I never thought they caused drama. Really disappointed they weren't asked to
do All Stars or did they turn it down?
> Season 3:
>
> Ian/Teri: Caused Drama and Drama Queen. Ian boy was he a drama queen.
> He threw his share of fits when they thought they were out. He screamed
> at Flo for asking a Cab that he hired to show someplace for directions. In
> all fairness on Flo's part, she did not know. Teri and Ian were running to
> the clue box as Flo and Zack left hte clue box. They were not paying
> attention to who did what behind them. Ian screamed at her to get away
> from their cab. He stopped completely dead in his tracks on the way to the
> clue box to do that. It was really uncalled for. He caused drama with
> Flo when they found out they were going to the red bridge in Switzerland.
> Bungee jumping is done from that bridge and Flo let it be known she was
> scared of heights. So he tormented her with the information. Well come to
> find out; Flo was not the only one scared of heights. It seemed Mr. Ian is
> also afraid of heights and opted not to do the bungee jump himself. There
> are many other things Ian did... but I don't have all day...lmao
>
> Lets see if he continues this on All Stars!
Really glad those two are on All Stars. Ian was so damn intense but the
constant screaming at his wife worked for them. I guess if that is how you
operate for around 30 years of marriage and you are still married then you
might as well stick with that method. I expect Ian and Teri to surprise a
lot of people in All Stars.
>
>
>
> Flo/Zack. Drama Queen: We all know aobut her fit throwing.. lmao!!
Flo ranks right near the top of my all time least favorite players. I can
still hear her wining 'Z!' everytime she had a problem, which seemed 90%% of
the time.
>
> Season 4:
>
> Reichen/Chip: Drama Queen. He was not a happy camper so many times through
> out this race.....
That season has really become a blank in my mind! There must have been at
least one other team that caused some drama or were drama queens.
>
> Season 5:
>
> Alison/Donny: Drama Queen: Hats off to Donny for not killing Allision
> during the race. That could was a fit thrower in every way.
Don't go attacking my girl Alison. Her ex boyfriend Donnie was a complete
idiot. To bad she couldn't have patched things up with Justin (BB 4) for a
month and done the race with him. At least he is smart and their 'reunion'
would have attracted even more viewers. Plus, Ally would have stayed in the
race a lot longer.
>
> Colin/Christie: Drama Queen and caused Drama: Wonder how those two
> managed to make a baby with all that fighting... Remember Colin almost
> going to jail over the fact he had to pay the cab driver.... lol
Colin's ox comment still has to rank as probably the best TAR line of all
time. Really surprised they weren't asked to do All Stars.
>
> Season 6:
>
> Where do I start?????????
>
> Adam/Rebecca: Caused Drama and Drama Queen: Sheesh; I am surprised they
> didn't kill each other during the race.
But nearly everyone loved those two and they probably should have been asked
back for All Stars. Hell of a lot more deserving than David and Mary.
>
> Freddy/Kendra: Drama Queen. On top of the Drama Queen buisness; Kendra was
> the ugliest American to date I do believe.
Agree with your comment about Kendra. Hated them both and still can't
believe those two won.
>
> Jonathan/Victoria: Drama and Drama Queens: Yes that is plural. I remember
> Phil in an interview on The Early Show. he said they had to litterally
> turn down the sound on their mics; they were so loud. We all know how
> Jonathan blamed Vicotria for everything and he was never wrong. *cough*
If the producers had really wanted to cause a stir by matching up past
contestants they should have asked Jonathan and Kendra to race as a team in
All Stars. And in terms of how well they did this would have made more sense
than Erik and Dani, even though seeing Dani again won't bother me :-)
>
> Season 7:
>
> Another where to start??
>
> Lynn/Alex: Drama Queen. I can still hear Lynn's voice when he talked about
> Rob and Amber.
Bunch of cry babies. Are they still married?
>
> Ray/Deana: Drama Queen. Ray was furious when Gretchen and Meredith did
> better than them... that was an insult to him and he carried on about
> it...
Oh yeah, Ray another complete dick.
>
> Rob/Amber: Drama. Rob loved stirring the pot where ever he could.
Glad there back. Great players--know how to keep things interesting, their
intense but never mean spirited.
>
> Lets see what drama he causes on All Stars.
>
> Susan/Patrick: Drama Queen. He was so insense with Rob/Amber it was not
> funny. He had his share of fit throwing. Big Baby!
He was damn intense with his own mom. I hope she 'straigtened' him out when
they got home. ;-)
>
> Season 8:
>
> The Weaver Family: Drama and Drama Queens: They were mean and having
> tantrums on teh mat with Phil. "No one likes us". I just wanted to jump in
> front of Phil and say grow the heck up!
I must be one of the few viewers who didn't find them that annoying. Sure Ma
Weaver was over the top with the constant praying but the kids weren't all
that bad. They didn't do that bad given their situation.
>
> The Godlewski's: Drama Queens. I can still hear them fighting all the way
> to the pit stops. It was so non stop!
I was a happy camper when they got eliminated. They were more annoying than
anything, especially the one that cried so much.
>
> The Paolo's: Dram Queens: Well half way through the race they redeemed
> themselves. Those boys stopped fighitng with mom after she did that bungee
> jump. It was great to see them cheer her on and push her to do her best.
> It was nice to see the family become close right before our eyes.
I liked them. Yes, the oldest son needed a good kick in the nuts at the
beginning of the race but they did get their shit together. I feel bad for
Marian for not being able to go to cool places, like New Zealand!
>
> Season 9:
>
> Where do I start here?
>
> Lake/Michelle: Caused Drama and Drama Queen: He was really intensed. He
> came across as Jonathan Jr.
Wonder what his patients thought of him after watching that race?
>
> Eric/Jeremy: Caused Drama. They did so many things to cause a rift
> between the teams and couldn't understand why they were called on the
> carpet about it a few times.. by the other teams.
>
> We will see Eric on All Stars with Dani.
And I think they will be gone early in the race.
>
> Lisa/Joni: Drama Queens: that was the first time i cheered for a Houston
> team to lose!
>
> Joesph/Monica: Drama Queen: Can't forget Monica's fit while standing at
> the Yield. That was entertainement with in it's self.. I am sure it wasn't
> for Joesph.
They were like a Wil and Tara in training.
>
> Season 10:
>
> Lyn/Karyn: Drama Queens and Caused the Drama... especially when it came to
> the Beauty Queens.
Lyn wasn't that bad but Karyn was a real mean bitch. Hopefully I've got
their names right. Karyn was the skinnier one right?
>
> Peter/Sarah: Drama Queen and Caused Drama: How can one forget how Peter
> behaved.... getting a headache thinking about it.. lol
Poor Sarah. If she had a more supportive and smarter partner she could have
gone a lot further in the race.
>
> Rob/Kimberly: Drama Queen: I can't get over how Rob did not kill Kimberly
> even on national TV... lol
At times I thought Kimberly was going to challenge Kendra for the ugly/dumb
American title.
