What's with Geraldo Rivera not being able to pronounce / enunciate
his own name?

At the start of every show, he introduces himself only to seriously
mumble and swallow the anouncement of his own name.

Has he had some kind of stroke? Or is he suffering from
some psycho-subliminal self-loathing being projected?

How many "times" did Elizabeth try to get away?

As a prevously abducted child (10-14), I'd say abductors have two aims:
1) is to control their victim. Keep them hidden, no contact with the
outside world, inflict torture, pain, sexual abuse and whatever else
their sick minds can think of to the child or woman, then think of a
slow controlled death. Often this is videotaped so the abductor can
relive the moments later.

Thankfully, Devlin appears to have been a complete idiot. Shawn
apparently was the type of victim used as a housewife/son. Complete
control, obedience, perhaps sex, etc. but some freedom as found in a
relationship. The problem is, once a kid gets to be 18-20 or so, their
reasoning skills are sufficient to call someone or do something to be
found and the perpetrator goes to jail. Either that or Devlin planned
to kill Shawn when Ben was sufficiently broken in.

Nonetheless, Devlins stupidity was his downfall. Using his own truck
to kidnap Ben, letting neighbors know about Shawn so the police knew a
15yo was in the apartment who "might" be Shawn Hornbeck.

My abductor was also stupid, getting caught in a simple traffic stop
where my abductor and my demenor appeared suspicious. I was taken away
by myself and questioned and the truth came out.
