  Disaster and Travel Communication website

Author: John

I was in Sri Lanka when the Asian tsunami hit in 2004. Fortunately I
was up in the mountains when the tsunami hit. Friends and family back
home couldn’t have known of our exact movements and were desperate for
news. The difficulty and expense of communicating made me realize the
need for an efficient service to say that I was OK. That's how
ShoutSafe came to be. The URL to ShoutSafe is www.shoutsafe.com.

ShoutSafe is a free service that uses a combination of SMS, Mobile and
Web to communicate with friends and family.

If anyone has suggestions on how to improve the service I would be
very keen to know about it. Any feedback would be great.

Regards
John

  Joining your partner in Australia

Author: len
Date: Jun 23, 2008 10:51

The Australian partner visa is used for people who is married, a
fiencé, in common law relationship or in a same sex common law
relationship with an Australian citizen or permanent resident wanting
to travel and join their partner in Australia. See requirements here
www.nationalvisas.com.au/partner/partnervisas.htm

It's a lot easier if you do your application online, plus, it
eliminates the hassles of having to go to an embassy to manually file
for your application. There are companies that offers affordable
online services for immigration visa to Australia that also includes
free assessment so you could easily determine if you're eligible to
apply for the visa you want.

If you're not granted an Australian partner visa, you may consider
applying for an Australian tourist visa. The ETA visa is considered
the fastest visa online! Visit www.nationalvisas.com.au/visitor/visitorvisas.htm
- You can still travel to Australia and visit your loved one.

  Gambia or Goa

Author: ME&YOU
Date: Jun 20, 2008 10:59

I'm in the UK and planning a trip in February or March next year. We're
early fifties, no children with us, quite fit. We can't decide between Goa
and the Gambia, never having been to either. Neither of us want to spend all
day every day on a beach but we like sight seeing, trying local restaurants,
one of us likes shopping (!) , diving (but don't wnat to spend all holiday
doing it).
Any recommendations between the two areas and which resorts within those
areas? Don't mind hiring a car unless it's ridiculously expensive.
Thanks everyone
