On Monday, I saw the live-action _Transformers_ movie. As is my
want, I wrote up a quick review of the movie in cmi.movies (a local review
group), reading simply "[t]he movie was far from perfect, but I loved it.
It didn't attack my childhood. I am content. 3.5/4 stars, mostly for
sentimental value." I also noted that I needed to write up a longer review
of it, after I had some time to both think and to write. Now, having
given myself a few days and watched the movie do absolute gangbusters at
the box office, I think I may have calmed myself enough to actually write
what I need to write.
First of all, I'm going to write enough here to count as SPOILER
SPACE for those that don't want to be spoiled (not that I'm sure who
hasn't seen the movie that is going to by now; but let's be nice). I
don't really put too many spoilers into my reviews anyway, but I do want
to be polite. So, to kill another couple of lines, I'll link to my
movie review page:
http://www.killfile.org/~tskirvin/archives/posts/?group=cmi.movies
And, to waste a bit more space with information that is irrelevant
to the plot, I'll start with something that will be entirely spoiler free:
an explanation of the environment.
