I just bought an upgrade video card for my XPS Gen 2, expecting
(naively, since I didn't check) that I could find a hatch on the
bottom, unplug the old and insert the new. Not So. Apparently I have
to remove the top of the case. I've undone the screws I can find but
still there is something holding the parts together. Rather than break
something, I wanted tome advice. A search of the web did not turn up
anything specific on how to upgrade the XPS video.
Anyone know a site that contains directions? This is not a
Dell-sanctioned user upgrade, so official sites are out of the
question. I would appreciate any advice to
jrsdad[at_sign]comcastdotnet, as I probably won't be able to monitor
this NG for a while.
TIA!
