I disagree with a lot of what Stephanie writes but I see no
contradiction in her statement.

Keven,
Stephanie is right moods in BP are controlled with meds, often we don't have
control of them. But it is the illness which makes us often stronger, cause
we have to.
I am not saying it's going to stop me from my quit. I WILL NOT hide behind
my mood disorder and will fight it. ( I want my signature back)
I WILL quit no matter which method I decide to use and what it takes.
I might just whine a little bit more, and need an extra hug here and there.
I probably will be in a pissy mood for some time. But I will do it again
despite all the odds.

You will get big bear hugs.
The odds are what that little nicodemon bastard is counting on.
Don't look at the odds Carmen. Look at the facts.
Smoking is a Stinky, Filthy, Expensive, Dangerous, Addiction.
You are better than the mood and the odds.
:-p~~~~~~~ Keven
Don't ever forget why you quit.

Carmen my friend, I used the patch, and as messed up as my head was at
the time, I'd undress at night and find 2 or 3 patches on different
places. I used the inhaler, that helped by giving me something to hold on
to with my hands, I used Wellbutrin and Valium pills. All most all as
samples fromm my MD.
I can't tell you what to use, as you can see I used them all. They
all helped. All of these are usefull untill you get your head on straight.
The biggest thing that worked for me was spending a lot of time with
someone with full blown emphesema. Thankfully mine is in the early
stages.
Carmen it sure sounds like you are doing this the right way.
Plan your quit and then follow the plan.

LOL, I love this, it's a very determined and realistic attitude, two
things that will do much to help you succeed.
You can't possibly whine more than I did, in fact I challenge you to
even try.
