Andy's OF... WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! finally

All,
Smoking consumed me. It was such a huge part of who I was. Everything I
did revolved around smokes. I always needed to make sure I had cigs
handy. I would run out before bed to make sure I had something to smoke
in the morning. After many years of this, I became aware of the physical
changes that were happening to me. Breathing, lack of color, loss of
appetite, not wanting to commit to an outing where I couldn't smoke, etc.
The decision to quit was mine. AS3 was an accidental lucky find for me
that came at a most opportune time. Being with others in the same plight
albeit virtually, worked wonders for my quit. Thanks to all of you. I
couldn't have done it without you.

Congratulations on the year ! I can relate to what you wrote about how
smoking became part of who you were and connected with everything you wanted
to do. I can relate.

Life after being a smoker is hard to compare in some important ways - it's
just so different. In subtle but pervasive ways.

Congratulations, Andy! Getting to OF is something to be proud of and
yes, one does change as the smobrity sets in and becomes the 'new
you'. Enjoy the tubs. The Yodeling Gnomes are getting out their
rubbers so they won't get too wet there while they serenade you on
your victory!
