I am always so sad when I see a young couple having problems because
their marriage isn't going the way it is "supposed to". Marriage is a
lot more about taking out the trash, mowing the yard, cleaning, etc.
than long romantic evenings and being blissfully happy forever. But
once you learn that and drop those unattainable expectations you can
be very, very happy. I know my husband and I are very, very happy,
but we didn't get here overnight.
IMO all romance novels, romance movies, etc. should come with a
disclaimer: This is FICTION and IMAGINARY. Do not confuse for real
life.

Thank you for providing more evidence that people can be both
realistic about love and marriage, AND happy in their life
together.

Good idea, but would they be any more effective than the
warning on cigarette advertisements, or the disclaimers
on daily horoscope columns?

My pleasure. :-) Of course I am reaping the benefits.
