We do, believe me, we do talk about it. The SO is... a computer
person (that really should explain it all:P) and tends to live
in his head too much. He does try, he just forgets details like
how long they will be gone or whatever.
The other day fritz had a bday party on the flat parts. I had
gotten there early to get set up and the SO took the kids to
pick up two other kids who needed a lift. At the end of the
party I stayed to help clean up and the SO was going to return the
kids to their home and then take our two kids to an air show in
the area. He forgot to mention that he was also going to take the
'non our' kids! I got home and about an hour later I got a confused
call from one mom asking if/when her son was coming home. Great
intentions but the SO just doesn't think things through. And of course
he forgot to tell _me_ how long he was going to be gone so I got home
and didn't know if they were coming home in an hour, four hours, bed
time...
He seemed really confused when I told him about this problem, like
he had thought of all of this and was pretty sure I had just read
him mind and knew what was going on.
That's why I said we set things up and then they randomly get
cancelled or changed. Life just happens :P

The colors blend, the edges soften. Swirling and mixing
we are becoming white light.
