I think I have found a cool way to feel alert and not too
tired on days when I have to do a lot of hiking or whatever.
I'll have to try it again to see if it was truly good or
just an accident.
Today I helped take preschool kids to the zoo. The teacher I
was with is very new and not very capable yet so I was in charge.
That meant I had to keep track of 7 kids. I had three moms, the
teacher and myself to help do this. I gave every other adult one
kid to keep track of and I got the last three myself. I joked
and talked and organized them and it worked out fine. It was actually
fun! :)
But the cool thing was for lunch I had a half liter of water,
an energy/protein bar that is full of whole grains and chocolate
*grin* and some fruit snack things that were 'electrolyte replacement
candy'. I had never heard of these before. I felt totally alert
and fine all day. Of course I drank water all day but didn't feel
that draggy, tired 'I've had enough' feeling one normally gets
after walking around for four hours in the sun with screaming,
wandering 3 year olds. I felt fine.
