Cortisol may alleviate chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia symptoms:
study
Last Updated: Wednesday, March 19, 2008
CBC News
Sufferers of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome may see
significant relief from their symptoms when administered the stress
hormone cortisol, finds a new study.
A review of 50 published studies conducted by researchers in
California has found that people who suffer from chronic fatigue and
fibromyalgia have adrenal dysfunction, meaning their adrenal glands,
which produce sex hormones and cortisol, don't work effectively.
Chronic fatigue is a condition in which people have debilitating
fatigue that may be get worse with activity and is not relieved by
rest. Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by multiple pain points
in muscles throughout the body and fatigue. Chronic fatigue and
fibromyalgia affect 0.5 to five per cent of the population, according
to the study's authors.

Your garbage has absolutely nothing to do with either science or the
Scientific Method.
It is pretty pathetic when an advocate of Natural Health knows more
about the scientific method, researching PubMed, and the art of
communication than the current crop of science Geeks currently posting
on these so-called science ngs do.
Postings straight from PubMed are only interesting when they are being
used to support a point being made by a poster.
The wholesale dumping of abstracts from PubMed without preceding each
posting with a clearly articulated statement being presented by a
poster is a total waste of bandwidth, is an irritation, is nothing but
SPAM, Garbage, Crap, or any other totally negative connotation that
anybody might want to call it.
It positively ain't science. It is just pure laziness on your part,
with a good amount of mushy thinking skills thrown in.
I am not your Mommy, children. I know how to research PubMed. I am
glad that you know, too. But unless you explicitly point out the
conclusions that you are trying to make, I really do not to care to
see your crap floating in the science ng toilet bowl.

Cortisol .. supplementation was not mentioned ..

Excuse me, Mr Fe+male? You say "> Cortisol .. supplementation
was not mentioned .."
Your post of April 3rd notes that
"Sufferers of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome may see
significant relief from their symptoms when administered the stress
hormone cortisol, finds a new study. "
Sounds a lot like cortisol supplementation to me.
Does this explain why you appear to be unable to summarize issues?
Perhaps you are iron deficient, not getting enough oxyhemoglobin to
the brain. You might want to consider giving some blood, see if they
will accept it.

Actually the thread is .. "iron overload and hormones" ..
Now since you obviously didn't understand that .. dumbing .. down ..
Let me try to dumb it down for you some .. more ..
The 'reason' the **researchers** said "cortisol supplementation " is
because .. ?
Did they find low cortisol .. ?
They found low cortisol ..
Sooo .. that / low cortisol is .. low hormones ..
Did you know that .. ?
Now you do .. if you write it down and reread it a few times ..
Soooo .. SINCE iron overload causes low cortisol ..
Did you KNOW that .. ?
Can you understand .. that .. ?
Write it down ..
Let me repeat it for ya ..
Low cortisol is caused by iron excess ..
Increased iron causes low hormones ..

No doubt, but that's primarily because you have a short supply of wit.
