Ah! I either mis-read or mis-interpreted. When you said we should be
aware I thought in a negative way, like stay away from it and I was
confused. Thanks Mike!! I will go to the drug store today and see what I
can find. It's in cough syrup, right?

Remember that I'm not advocating, or even suggesting, but
rather noting that you should make yourself aware of it.
And Robitussin DM has 10 mg dextro, 100 mg guaifenisin.
But if you're going to pursue this, here are a couple of sites in
my collection. Did I say a couple? Silly me. There are plenty
of others. And before a person starts getting serious, they
should know how it relates to the Cytochrome P450 System.

Did you take just one dose of the dex or a few the one time that you
tried it?

You mean like http://www.cja-jca.org/cgi/content/full/51/9/905
Mind you, I'm not trying to make a pitch for dextro, just reminding
that
Old Goat's mention of using it was consistent with a considerable
amount of research documentation that's already out there.
Shucks, when this thread is over, I probably won't get around to
mentioning dextromethorphan again, or even NMDA receptor stuff.
Not like Ironjustice with his locking in on something.
