Most people here may already be aware of this site, just wanted to
throw
it out for comments as appropriate, and the prospect that there may be
some
stuff in it of value to someone. Especially since proglumide has only
been
mentioned twice in this newsgroup.

Dear Penelope,
The worst part of it all is that all this information on how to keep
tolerance in check is 20 and 30 years old. They know how to do it (I had an
article from England somewhere from 1982 about dextrosemothorphan...

That's dextromethorphan, something the folks with neuropathic
pain should be very aware of.
When it's co-administered with an opiate, I believe they call it
MK-801, but I'm not positive about the number and I figure there
are plenty that could tell about it.

I think it (dextromethorphan) enhances or seems to make stronger
opiods/effects. I do know that they quit selling it in many
pharmacies & it's not generally available at pharmacies unless asked
for & you have to sign for it & are limited as to how many bottles of
cough syrup containing it u can get at one time. Because some kids
somewhere died from drinking several bottles of it in one sitting
(their last). sigh.
I may be thinking of a diff. ingred. but I am pretty sure it's dex.
takin' another deep breath,

Your brain was perking along nicely.
The use of dextromethorphan could be helping the ones with
neuropathic pain, but as OG says, it doesn't get mentioned.
