Well it's been a while since I been in here, so I thought I would
check in..

Things here are about the same with me.. Pain pain pain.. I'm still on
the same meds which are not working at all.. Doctors here are
USELESS!!

The kids are doing ok.. They will soon be starting school.. I've been
spending a lot of time with the kids.. I even taught my little girl
how to write in cursive.. I was so surprised how fast she pick up on
it since she is only 7 years old..

My boy, well he is either at the pool or playing with his PSP.. I only
bought the PSP for him a few months ago and he does to good on it for
only being 5 years old.. He's even got me hooked on playing from time
to time..lol

I had my 2 year old GD here with me for a week or more.. Thank God she
is a good little girl..

I guess I'm pretty lucky with all the kids.. They are all pretty
good..

Anyways.. I hope you all are doing good..

The fires got pretty darn nasty here for a while.. The good thing is
the fires that were started here in Reno didn't burn any of the houses
down.. Reno was covered in smoke for about a week.. Ashes blew
everywhere off and on while the fires burned.. I remember having to
take my car in to get washed a few times that week.. Now at Lake
Tahoe was a different story.. They lost about 260 plus homes there..
It was just terrible..

About two months ago I bought one of those Magic Bullets.. I have been
living off of Milk and Ice and Java mix since I bought that bullet..
Kids love it too.. We learned how to make slushees of every kind..
Grape, Strawberry, Cherry and other flavors.. Kids were coming from
all over just so that we can make them a slushee.. There for a while I
was going through a bag a ice a day..lol It was great.. It was one way
to stay cool while it was so hot here.. And then it was also a good
way to keep the kids in the house while the fires were burning since
there was smoke everywhere..

As for the SCS.. I would say get it if all your pain is in your legs
but if most of your pain is in your back, then don't do it.. I talked
to Medtronic's and they said, it will not work for back pain.. They
can't get the shock to go up that high.. So it is pretty much useless
to me.. And say you get one put in.. Say that you have a big weight
loss after you get it put in.. Well it will stick out like a soar
thumb.. Mine is in my right hip, so it sticks out pretty bad.. And
when I wear jeans, the SCS gets cought under the pocket and then pops
out and that alone will put me on the floor with pain.. It happens
when I bend over or sit down..
