X-No-Archive:

I am hoping someone can help me here. I have a real problem with a
nagging tight upper left hamstring – only a few inches below my
glutes. I have tried doing typical hamstring stretches where I lie
flat...

Dear Lori,

While you are doing the 2 am 2 step, check out the AFP website and the vets
pain bill of 2007 and please pass the word. I'm not feeling like I am
getting through to people to take some action. A house divided cannot stand
long, and this house is rotten to the core. Maybe you can pull an effort
together, but my glass is half empty and my hope is gone.
Please pass it along and see if you can get some participation. I can only
spread cynicism right now. Not exactly support.

Do something for Vets in pain

Hey all,

Once again a big deal comes up before congress and our "big advocates" give
us no notice at all for an organized effort. Like it's news to them
suddenly. But I'm asking you to get the word out to anyone and everyone you
know that has been protected or served by someone in the Armed services
(that should cover everyone, painer or not), do something. If they let these
guys down just imagine what they have in store for us...

What have I done!? I brought home an Old English Bulldog puppy
yesterday, forgetting that I should have said mobile infant not puppy. My
older yorkies are in the protest mode. One barks at it. The other ignors
it unless it gets too close then she growls at it. Of course the puppy
ignors all that and just wants to play (and play, and play).

The pup is a female, all white except a nickle sized brown spot on the
very top of her head. I thought of calling her Tick because of the brown
spot. Anyone have any good names for a rambunious (sp?) pup?

Drug costs vary a lot, even within same chains

Costs Can Vary By $100 or More for Same Drugs

MONDAY, May 5 (HealthDay News) -- Prices of prescription drugs can vary by
$100 or more for the same drug from store to store -- and even within the
same chain. So it pays to shop around, a new survey found.

But the survey also found that consumers are less likely to consult with
pharmacists about the drugs they're using than they were in the past, which
can lead to serious consequences in terms of drug interactions.

"More people are paying a higher percentage of out-of-pocket expenses for
their prescriptions than they did in 2002," said Tod Marks, senior editor at
Consumer Reports magazine, which conducted the survey.

"In our survey, we found that there was a significant price difference, not
only for the same drug at different stores, but there were price differences
within the same chain and the online price," Marks said. "Sometimes those
prices can be significantly different."

The findings were published in the June issue of Consumer Reports.

For the survey, the magazine called 163 pharmacies nationwide to determine
price differences for four prescription drugs -- three name brand medicines
and one generic.
