Do Not Feed the Trolls!
Among the many creatures on Usenet, you will find the Troll. His only
purpose is to piss people off and create chaos in groups. He does not
really believe anything, he just says and does whatever he thinks will
do the trick. And the only thing he gets out of the whole thing is the
joy of causing an uproar. Often they will cross-post messages into
many groups to see if they can set the groups against each other.
Some recent Troll posts include:
"Black whore microwaves baby..another feeds baby Vodka"
posted to alt.politics.homosexuality
IT'S OK TO KILL GAYS - BRITISH IMAM
cross-posted to alt.religion.islam & can.politics
"muhammad the filthy pedophile"
Variations posted in alt.religion.islam, alt.drugs.pot, &
soc-culture.iranian -- among others
Again, who knows if these people actually believe anything they post
-- the purpose is to piss people off and get people yelling at each
other on the Internet. Don't let them bait you into responding. The
more you respond, the more joy they get from posting.
