Or is it just me? Stopped down to the Lodge yesterday. They had fresh
popcorn out for the patrons, still warm.
Looked at that and said "nope, ain't gonna do it." The lady next to was
munching so I couldn't move it away. I swear the stuff knew my name and kept
calling me! Nope, ain't gonna do it. Well, I finally gave in. The stuff just
wouldn't leave me be. Ok, two little kernels. That's it. Chew on the right
side only. You know that tooth on the left is bad. I chewed, right side
only. Didn't matter any. Bad tooth split right in half! Vertically. Another
trip to the dentist tomorrow as it will have to come out. Will need a new
partial built. This is going to be expensive I imagine. The way this year
has gone so far I'm almost afraid to get those lumbar steroid shots on Wed.

((((((((((((gary)))))))))))) ow, ow, ow! ouuuuuf . . . boy, i'm sorry you
had to experience that!
ahhh, yes. well i know the fragrant tantalizations and invitations of
popcorn, with its deceptively innocuous fluffiness, its tender crunch and
melt-in-your-mouth buttery roundness of flavor; and with its baneful
unpopped-kernal shadowside awaiting its opportune moment.
because of popcorn, i once cracked the lonnnnng and healthy root of the only
adult tooth i ever lost. lucky for me it was an unwise wisdom tooth.
the best spent money is the money we spend taking care of ourselves. sadly,
taking care of ourselves is also, too often, the most expensive thing we can
do. but, you're worth it, gary. you'll feel soooo much better when you
take care of both painful issues.

I think dentists invented popcorn to make sure they could send their
kids to college :-) I feel so bad for you, Gary. And the smell of
popcorn is like the smell of bacon (at least to me :) I can't resist it
once that aroma has hit my nose. Maybe the dentist will be kind and not
charge you too much. Is there a clinic near you, perhaps? I have a lot
of dental work to be done, and I'm not looking forward to the bills at
all. I'll just have it done a little at a time.
Good luck and HUGS,
Carole

You need to think of your lumbar shots as a real positive, not a
negative. Things are going to turn around for the better.

My sympathy to you, Gary. In the past four years or so, I've gone through
four surgeries for implants, most of which involved extractions. I should
be getting this last one done this summer. Of course, my dental insurance
company, like lots of them (check it out with yours), will be covering
implants starting in October. Guess my timing is off. You are very
fortunate that they can do it with a partial. We'll be thinking of you.
Hope they can fix it quickly and easily.

Hang in there and hopefully the dentist will cut you a break.

No. You weren't supposed to do that. Bad bad bad.
Is it going to require further surgery?
Oh I hope not.
Prayers for this to be well soon.

Oh Man, Gary, that is the pits. I am sorry to hear that. I hope you can get
it taken care of and soon.
Yeah 2008 seems to be getting alot of us. I don't think this is going to be
a better year for a few of us. I thought it would but I am not sure now.
