  OT I'm nervous

Author: nanny
Date: May 4, 2008 23:10

I'll be so glad when tomorrow is over. By noon, I will be so much relieved,
since my appointment is at 10:30. I'm having the one test I've always
feared: bone marrow biopsy. All the stories I've heard give it mega-pain
rating, but I have anemia and the specialist wants to know more about it.
It will be done in the doctor's examination room, and I already told him
I've heard horror stories about this test. He'd better numb me up real
good! Nanny

  hot dang! update

hot dang! i feel good today! gorgeous day outside. i feel rested. really
rested. finally. slept well enough the past couple of days (didn't need
sleep aids, just pain relief).

i feel energized today, but know not to do dumb stuff, though i did have to
mop up and sanitize a toilet overflow this morning. i felt relatively pain
free enough to cope with that without my usual buckling from mopping induced
horrendous pain (and took a pain pill afterwards. it did twinge a little,
cuz it was time for a pain pill.) feel like i got myself and my life back!
even if it is a pill induced delusion, i'm loving it. feels good to feel
better for a change!

i know i'm feeling better when i look out my window at my backyard and start
thinking . . . "lime -- to sweeten the soil (which will minimize the acidic
soil mosses and weeds) -- and more grass seed!" no. i'm not nuts enough
to drag out my mini-rototiller and do the job myself. not this time; not
this kid, who knows better.LOL i'm not going to undo this goodness, if
don't have to.

i WANT to exercise. really. (long)

Ok, I finally joined the Y. It's all of two miles from my house and
has any number of pool classes and everything else imaginable. my plan
was/is to alternate an easy pool class with the recumbent bike. so
last week i went to my first pool class. i am still recovering from
the experience. I should note that i haven't exercised in about a
decade. My RA is mostly in my hands/wrists, feet/ankles and my left
foot and ankle are totally auto-fused and very deformed. I have a
very gimpy gait. also my wrists are auto fused, tho more flexible than
my ankle. i've had no wrist pain (or very little, anway) in years.
