brutal assault.

Er, hate to be a nitpicker here, but the powers that be at Trek have pretty
much settled that Cochran launched the Phoenix in 2063, WWIII ending about a
decade before that. I THINK Green played a part in said war, but at least
Enterprise has it that Earth pretty much started to get it's act together
once the Pointy Eared Green Blooded Bast...er, the Vulcans came to Earth.

Oh yes I'm aware of the "canon" version of WW3 that was put forward in
First Contact and cemented in Enterprise. This version is a
combination of the" 2079 post atomic horror" date given in Encounter
at Farpoint,the Judith and Grafield Reeves-Stevens novel Federation
and stuff I made up .
