Well, playing either Carol Marcus or Christine Chapel (or outside
chance of Leila Kalomi) sure would explain why Morrison went blonde
for the new season of "House".

I guess that's a big "considering" caveat. I found the acting
reprehensible almost across the board in "Attack of the Clones", and I
do blame the green-screen surroundings primarily, but the script
secondarily...

True. But there have been persistent reports for several months now
that Carol Marcus is in the script, and no rumblings whatsoever about
Ruth or Wallace, who might be too obscure for a feature film (Marcus,
the mother of Kirk's son, is much more prominent.) Chapel is also a
strong possibility, given that she appeared in nearly as many episodes
as Chekov and that we've been told by Orci that "one or two" popular
recurring characters also appear in the script (the frontrunners being
Chapel and Rand). And this being a Spock-centric story with apparently
flashbacks to different points in Spock's life (to a time when Winona
Ryder is old enough to pass for his mother, for example) then we can't
rule out an appearance by Leila Kalomi, about the only character from
Spock's past who we ever saw.

Why that's silly. I mean, an Indian with a Scottish accent?

If Vader hadn't turned out to be Luke's father in Episode 5, the
prequels could have been exciting space opera that was worth seeing.
What was wrong with the prequels?
Let's see now:
Episode 1: Movie with annoying cute kid, even more annoying CGI alien,
made for the kiddies.
Episode 2: Homage to _film noir_ and a bunch of movies in other
genres: Lucas being self-indulgent.
Episode 3: Tour de force, in which GL writes himself out of the corner
he painted himself into, while taking digs at the Bush administration.
Yet they were fun to watch *despite* this. Had they not labored under
such huge handicaps, they could indeed have been "more of the same" -
not fully equal to the original movie, but far closer to standing
beside it.
