the wealthy paying higher taxes to pay their fair share, there are so
few rich people that almost all government revenue does have to come
from ordinary people who work for a living.

Unless maybe Obama thinks he can run the country almost entirely on
taxes from (working-class!) bachelors. Paying all those high taxes, of
course, how will they ever manage to impress a girl...
