Some wormhole-thoughts

If wormholes do exist, then perhaps space looks like Swiss cheese with
the holes interconnected in pairs.

Are wormholes two points in space that use gravity to stretch the
fabric of space between them, kind of like two hands stretching a
piece of chewing gum?

If they are, then to travel through the wormhole you may need enough
speed to break free (inside the wormhole) of the gravity of the
"entrance" and to go to where the gravity of the "exit" "grabs" you.

Perhaps the gravity of the entrance will pull your ship in so hard
that it will katapult your ship towards the exit?

... if it doesn't simply _crush_ your ship, that is :-)

Thoughts?
