Some strange dialogue in ST VI: Undiscovered Country

Author: Steven L.

When Kirk and McCoy are imprisoned in RuraPenthe, McCoy says something
about Kobayashi Maru. Then Kirk replies to McCoy:

"Time's the problem. You and I are nothing."

What did Kirk mean by "You and I are nothing"?

Could be. I don't remember the movie well enough to comment on the
accuracy of that anallysis. But it certainly makes sense that
Paramount didn't want to get sued by Warner Brothers.
