Got quite a few emails coming in claiming that William Shatner will
not have a part in Star Trek XI. Though we initially had our doubts,
it is William Shatner who confirmed this information.
So, who is in Star Trek XI? How about Leonard Nimoy...
Star Trek XI Shatnerless
Though it is expected that an official casting announcement will be
made at San Diego Comic-Con this month for Star Trek XI, William
Shatner has already popped up to confirm that he himself has confirmed
with an inside source that there is no part for him in the film.
Personally, I am kind of glad. If this eleventh installment is really
a restart for the franchise, why the hell try to insert some of the
old cast? That would be like doing a flashback to George Clooney in
Batman Begins; nobody wants that!
Not all old cast are out, however, as it Shatner also claims that
Leonard Nimoy will make an appearance. Check out the video:
As you might have already guessed, Nimoy's Spock will most likely
appear as a flashback... or flashfoward? Eh, I don't get it.
Star Trek XI is supposedly on schedule to open to theaters in 2008.
Stay tuned for updates.

I don't think a man can be a cow.... can he? Why does aging weight gain
make such a big difference to you? Have you seen Frakes? He looks like Orson
Wells.

For an actor to put on that kind of weight shows a lack of
self-respect, not to mention lack of respect for the work he does,
and for his fans.

Last time I saw Shatner, he could have played a whale and a couple
of dolphins.
